Moon Honey
Moon Honey
Musical soulmates Jess Joy and Andrew Martin, the former from the damp swamps of nowhere and the latter from a small island in the Caribbean, formed Moon Honey in a small horse stable in Baton Rouge, LA. Their unorthodox approach to songwriting and whimsical, surrealistic imagery culminated in the critically acclaimed debut album Hand-Painted Dream Photographs, produced by Greg Saunier of Deerhoof. The unlikely collision of Bjork-esque melodies with Zeppelin-centric, freaked-out guitar riffs landed the band in The New York Times, NOISEY, and NPR, launching a number of cross country tour performances including an in-studio KEXP session and official SXSW showcases featured on NPR’s Top 100 Acts.

After garnering a vigilant West Coast following, relocating to Los Angeles from Baton Rouge in 2016, releasing a few new singles to tease the future, and playing sold-out shows and residencies at L.A. venues such as The Echo, Teragram Ballroom and Bootleg Theater, Moon Honey is excitedly on the precipice of releasing the anticipated new LP, Mixed Media On Woman, produced by John Goodmanson (Blonde Redhead, Sleater-Kinney, Death Cab For Cutie) which is slated to hit shelves on September 28th, 2018. The first single "Boy Magic," was dubbed as "splendid Prog-Pop" by Amoeba Music, followed up with "That Dog" being called "hauntingly brilliant" by All Things Go and "delightfully abstract" by Paste.
Hexa
Hexa
Hexa is the experimental electronic project of Carrie Gillespie Feller, formerly of San Diego bands ILYA and Lunar Maps. Feller started Hexa as a solo act, utilizing a loop pedal to build layers of atmospheric vocals, synth and organ accentuated by driving percussion. In February of 2016, Feller released her debut EP, Bata Motel. Recently praised as one of the best local recordings of 2016 by San Diego CityBeat, Feller has received comparisons to PJ Harvey and Chelsea Wolfe, while maintaining a sound uniquely her own. After releasing the EP, Feller enlisted Acacia Collins (Witness 9) on drums, Erika Marie (Nylon Apartments) on guitar and keys, and Megan Liscomb (Soft Lions, PJ Sparkles) on bass. The group has played extensively in San Diego and LA, opening for acts such as Car Seat Headrest, Cigarettes After Sex, Soft Kill, and Kristin Kontrol.
Spooky Cigarette
Spooky Cigarette
Formed in the fall of 2015, Spooky Cigarette is an homage to new wave, no wave, and post punk. With fluorescent guitars, cumulonimbus synths, and a dusk bass, Spooky Cigarette is the subtly decorated borders of night and day. As loud as I Can is both haunting and comfortable, like writhing in a chaise to find the perfect position.
